Pro Tip: Don’t Email Your Whole List

Emails go bad. Email lists go stale. These are the simple realities of email programs. Due to job changes, people signing up for new personal accounts and abandoning old accounts, about 30% of email addresses go bad each year.

    Email's New Reality

As the New Year starts, many campaigns are slowly coming out of their slumber, dusting off old email lists and getting ready for the 2014 elections. Reality is the email landscape isn’t the same as it was in 2012 or before. In the last year, there have been changes in how deliverability works and the way email is received.

Exciting Stuff: NationalField is Joining the NGP VAN Family

Friends – I’m elated to tell you that NationalField is becoming part of NGP VAN. I imagine some of you are saying, “It’s about damn time!” or “Duh!” And, frankly, that’s what got us to this point. An Idea So Good It's Scary

As an Account Executive, it is always great to see your clients doing well. Recently, we noticed one of my clients using my favorite tool to do something awesomely creative and fun. State Rep. Brian Sims was the first openly gay candidate to be elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. It is a big point of pride for me to count him as one of my clients because of who he is and what he stands for.

    'Twas the Night Before Default

Twas the night before default, when all through the house

Not a state rep was stirring, not even Mark Sanford (R-SC-1).

The amendments were hung by the rostrum with care,

In hopes that no new laws soon would be there.

Campaign Staffers: Obamacare is a BFD

There is an endless list of benefits for countless Americans as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that have already taken effect: no-cost wellness exams, coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, and the ability for children to stay on their parent’s insurance until their 26th birthday.

    Client Spotlight: Tulsi Gabbard

There has been a lot of tension regarding the situation in Syria. With so many strong feelings involved, it can be tough for our representatives to gauge where their constituents stand. That’s why Rep. Tulsi Gabbard from Hawai’i’s second congressional district caught our attention with this online form.
